Ingredients
- 600g chicken breast, cut into 3cm cubes
- 2 tbsp olive oil (about 30ml)
- 2 tsp sweet paprika (about 6g)
- 1 tsp smoked paprika (about 3g)
- 2 cloves garlic (about 7g), minced
- 1 tsp lemon juice (about 5ml)
- 1 tsp salt (about 5g)
- Black pepper, to taste
- Lemon wedges, to serve
Method
- Marinate the chicken
In a large bowl, mix olive oil, both paprikas, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Add chicken cubes, toss well, and marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. - Assemble the skewers
Thread chicken cubes onto skewers, leaving a little space between pieces for even cooking. - Grill
Heat a barbecue or griddle pan over medium-high heat. Cook skewers for about 5–6 minutes per side until chicken is cooked through and lightly charred. - Serve
Arrange skewers on a platter and serve hot with lemon wedges.
Chef’s Note
For extra juiciness, replace half the chicken breast with boneless chicken thigh pieces.
